Job Description
The Director Sales EMEA Distribution Channels is responsible for leading sales operations in line with defined strategies in order to achieve sales targets and market share objectives in Europe, Middle East and Africa through a distribution channel of 25 partners. This role involves strategic planning, sales support, and process management to achieve key sales objectives.
Your selected Tasks:
* Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive partnerships with distributors and maximize the collaboration value between the company and its distributor network. Build a customer KOL network in the region and collaborate with the the sales team to enhance and strengthen existing partnerships.
* Onboarding: Initiate strategic partnerships with distributors through detailed business plans and oversee the onboarding process for new distributors including negotiation and finalization of contracts and discount agreements.
* Sales Enablement: Assist distributors with efficient deal registration processes and streamlining sales processes. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to address current knowledge gaps among partners.
* Pipeline Management: Apply a data-driven approach to effectively manage the sales pipeline. Analyze deal sizes, conversion rates, and overall pipeline progress and evaluate and forecast sales figures based on analytical insights.
* KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Track essential key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on pipeline management and qualified leads. Conduct monthly check-ins with top-performing contributors to evaluate performance metrics.
Qualifications
* Hold a BSc/MSc, a PhD in Cell Biology, Immunology or a related field. An MBA would be a Plus.
* Extensive knowledge of the life science and Cell & Gene Therapy market and 10+ years experience in distribution channel management in the EMEA region.
* Growth mindset and track record of gaining market share and leading strategy development and execution. Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Ability to analyze complicated issues, communicate effectively, influence development of action plans.
* Very strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally including strategic partnerships with key customers and stakeholders at the executive/senior level. Skilled in stakeholder management and influencing.
* Excellent (English) communication and presentation skills.
* Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership and working independently. Seeks new challenges and is energized by exceeding targets.
Additional Information
International travel frequency for this role will be at least 50%.
Preferred location in the greater Cologne area.
