Job Title : Cross Cultural Adaptation Technician Location : Army Community Service (ACS) offices, Smith Barracks, Building 8666, Baumholder, Germany Job Type : Full-Time Contractor Schedule : 0800 to 2000 Monday through Friday 31 hours per week Qualifications: Education : Minium of 60 semester hours Associate degree from an accredited college/university or one ( 1 ) year of teaching experience in an academic subject. Language Skills : Proficiency in German and English at the C2 level. DoD Access : Must be able to access the installation or hold a DoD ID card. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel), and good automation skills including word processing. Communication Skills : Ability to present information both orally and in written form. Customer Service : Strong customer service, time management, and records management skills are required. Interpersonal Skills : Effective professional and non-judgmental interaction with a variety of individuals is essential. Duties and Responsibilities: Cultural Adaptation Services : Provide a wide range of general and specialized cross-cultural adaptation services to military members and their families. Cultural Training : Deliver cultural adaptation training to help individuals adjust to new cultural environments. Offer cross-cultural training and cultural mediation to assist individuals in navigating cultural differences and promoting positive interactions. Language Training : Provide multi-level language training (German and English) in both classroom and hybrid (online and in-person) formats as determined by the Relocation Readiness Program Manager. Local Tours : Arrange tours of the local area to help newcomers explore and acclimate to their new environment. Scheduling and Adjustments : Follow the schedule as provided by the Relocation Readiness Program Manager, adjusting for any administrative closures, EFAC activations, or the specified absence periods during the year.
