Purpose
The Manager, Parcel Transportation is a key, in-house strategy execution role for an organized, passionate, goal-oriented, energetic, and visionary business-leader who understands the challenges and the opportunities of an EU wide supply chain and parcel (e-com) transportation network. The ideal candidate brings in hands-on experience of owning an end-to-end EU Parcel Delivery network with active 3PL carrier management experience (Mid & Last mile) and can help enhance the performance of our + Million Euro annual spend.
1. Own the Transportation Performance for his/her assigned network.
2. Manage a wide, parcel carrier portfolio across EU countries
3. Drive major change initiatives in EU network (New DCs, Key City initiatives, Customer Choice Enhancements, Returns Flows, Stores and Launches)
4. Enable new services to provide convenience and choice for our consumers
5. Effective 3PL vendor management, being able to drive performance of external suppliers
6. Uplift the overall Transportation Knowledge in the SCM and internal stakeholders
7. Drive proper communication and engage in stakeholder management
Key Responsibilities:
8. Drive parcel delivery network performance for EU, in alignment with strategic direction
9. Actively manage the assigned EU parcel carrier portfolio with proper cadence and governance (WBRs/ MBRs / QBRs – ad-hoc escalations, if need be
10. Improve transportation KPIs (OTIF, Speed, Sustainability, NPS and choices) for digital sales fulfillment channels (e-com, web, app, partner programs)
11. Budget ownership of over a 30+ Million Euro annual spend (invoices paid for last mile)
12. Improve the transportation network with better optimized cost, service, and reliability
13. Help boost the sustainability vision of the company for the B2C / parcel network
14. Enhance available consumer preference and convenience options
15. Own the customer delivery experience and be customer centric in everything we do
16. Deliver the speed agenda (Next Day / Same Day) for assigned EU network
Key Relationships:
17. Initiate and drive discussions with cross-functional internal stakeholders, as well as external partners; to collect and consolidate input, anecdotes, issues, feedback, and insights to prepare, plan, align and deliver solutions
18. Deliver execution of the aligned tactical / strategic initiatives
19. Proactively manage stakeholders, build rapport, and manage communication
Stakeholders pertain (but not limited) to the following core functions:
20. EMEA Supply Chain Management (DCs, product supply, order fulfillment, CS etc.)
21. EMEA Market (all functions)
22. External partners (carriers, solution providers and consultants)
23. Global Operations (Global Transportation, Procurement. Digital, Strategy and IT)
24. Corporate functions (e.g., legal, finance & performance management)

Hard skills:
39. Expertise on EU parcel carrier and last mile network, with suppliers, services, and consumer preferences for digital channels (app and web)
40. Working experience with a Transportation Management and Optimization system (BlueYonder / NShift preferred)
41. Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
42. Dives deep with proven data analytics skills, and gets his/her hands dirty

Qualifications:
54. A Bachelor’s degree from relevant departments of universities required. A Master’s degree and PMP / lean sigma certification preferred
55. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an advanced supply chain and/or transportation management environment (relevant consultancy included)
