Responsibilities
:
1. Safety Leadership: Foster a strong safety culture for all personnel by adhering to safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
2. Team Management: Supervise internal and external engineering teams, including hiring, training, and developing staff.
3. Compliance and Certification: Maintain DVGW certification and ensure compliance with ISO standards.
4. Resource Allocation: Prioritize engineering tasks, assign resources, and ensure timely project completion.
5. Client and Partner Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
6. Fieldwork and Data Collection: Visit job sites to gather data and drive operational efficiencies.
7. Project Handover: Provide accurate field data to project managers upon project award.
8. Reporting and Communication: Prepare project reports and maintain communication with leadership.
Required Qualifications:
9. Bachelor's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
10. 5-8 years of relevant experience.
11. Proficiency in both German and English.
12. Experience with CAD, MicroStation, and other design software.
13. DVGC GW 302 certification or ability to obtain it.
14. Valid driver's license.
15. Must be eligible to work in Germany.
Desired Qualifications:
16. Experience in trenchless technology (e.g., HDD, micro-tunneling).
17. Experience in HDD-specific engineering calculations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
18. Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork.
19. May need to lift up to 12 kg.
20. Vision abilities required include close vision and focus adjustment.
21. Travel required (10-20%) with potential exposure to outdoor conditions.
Work Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires travel to various job sites and client meetings. The Engineering Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and will ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations at all times.
