As a Commercial Graduate Trainee, you will be groomed for an exciting career as an Account Manager in the water treatment industry. This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, focusing on developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key accounts in western Germany. You'll learn to drive sustainable business growth while delivering value-added solutions to our clients.
Working with industry-leading experts, you'll develop comprehensive knowledge of water treatment processes while building essential business development skills. This position offers the perfect blend of technical and commercial experience, setting you up for a rewarding career in industrial water management.
Day-to-Day Duties:
* Learn to develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts
* Gain experience in delivering technical services and recommendations
* Develop understanding of customer needs and solution delivery
* Participate in service and sales team meetings
* Learn to manage customer retention and satisfaction
* Develop skills in pipeline development and solution offerings
* Master the art of accurate reporting and updates
* Collaborate with service, customer care, and technology teams
Upon graduation of the program, you will be able to take on the role of Account Manager in the process & water treatment industry to retain existing and win new recurring business at key accounts and prospects, realising sustainable long-term profitable growth. You will develop strong relationships at our major accounts. The following activities are a guideline of the role this graduate will grow into.
* Drive the development of strategic relationships at key accounts at all levels in the water treatment industry.
* The ultimate goal is to achieve business targets and objectives through customer retention and by delivering value to our valued customers. This requires a technical domain expertise combined with good commercial acumen and tactics.
* Through strong and proven relationship skills you will learn understand the customer's needs and deliver our solutions which generate value. You will be fully supported by our service, customer care, technology, commercial operations, supply chain and other support teams.
* Provide accurate updates to our business and drive our delivery commitment to our customers.
* Carry out the technical services and provide the necessary verbal and written recommendations to ensure trouble-free plant operations for the assigned customers.
* Actively participate in service/ sales team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
Ideal Skills and Experience:
* B.Sc. or higher degree in Engineering or Applied Science with Chemical background
* Fluent in English and German - other European languages are useful
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace tools
* Strong presentation and reporting capabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
* Willingness to travel regularly during the programme (Europe)
* Valid driving licence (Category B)
* Interest in commercial or key account management
* Industry knowledge or interest a distinct advantage
