Could you be the full-time Head of CNE Regional Strategic Procurement (f/m/d) we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
As Head of CNE Regional Strategic Procurement, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement strategies, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring efficient material and service acquisition to support innovative mobility solutions. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Procurement Director CNE and lead a dedicated team of 10+ employees.
We’ll look for you to :
Global Commodities:
* Represent CNE interests and specificities in the development of the Global strategy and tactical plans for each commodity.
* Prepare and initiate GO / NO GO claims, agreeing on negotiation strategies and leading discussions with the Global Commodity Manager / Director.
* Address escalations raised by Operations as necessary.
* Take a leadership role alongside the Global Commodity Manager for specific regional CNE topics.
* Contribute CNE insights for Global Commodities Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) by conducting Regional Business Reviews with the same suppliers and participate in the Global QBR as required by the business.
Global Coordinated Commodities:
* Develop sourcing strategies to meet specific CNE needs, in alignment with other functions within CNE, particularly for double sourcing requirements.
* Challenge the Domain panel to ensure it effectively reflects and implements all CNE needs.
* Drive second sourcing activities in collaboration with global teams (when applicable), Supplier Quality (SQ), and Supply Chain (SC).
* Lead negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers, ensuring tender commitments are established alongside their technical assessments.
* Align and contract the planning and milestones for execution.
* Coordinate with Domain and Regional Supplier Quality to address supplier development needs for enhanced capabilities and capacities.
* Manage escalations brought forward by Operations as necessary.
* Prepare and initiate GO / NO GO claims, leading claims negotiations with the Domain at the escalation level.
* Identify and proactively manage any risks associated with suppliers, following the Alstom risk management process.
* Drive the commodity maturity improvement plan.
* Lead the Savings Plan by leveraging Design to Cost, Life Cycle Cost (LCC), and volumes.
* Anticipate and regularly monitor the progress of tenders and projects with suppliers.
* Organize, prepare, and facilitate QBRs with suppliers.
Local Commodities:
* Develop sourcing strategies and a supplier panel specific to CNE, ensuring appropriate double sourcing strategies are in place for each commodity alongside operational procurement, SQ, and SC.
* Lead negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers, establishing tender commitments and associated technical assessments.
* Align and contract the planning and milestones for execution.
* Collaborate with Domain and Regional Supplier Quality to identify supplier development needs for enhanced capabilities and capacities.
* Address escalations brought forward by Operations as necessary.
* Prepare and initiate GO / NO GO claims, leading claims negotiations with the Domain at the escalation level.
* Identify and proactively manage any risks associated with suppliers, adhering to Alstom's risk management process.
* Drive the commodity maturity improvement plan.
* Lead the Savings Plan by leveraging Design to Cost, LCC, and volumes.
* Organize, prepare, and facilitate QBRs with key suppliers on the most sensitive commodities.
All About You

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proficiency in lean management methodology
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, compliance, and regulations, including knowledge of the Alstom code of ethics.
* Experience in team management and development, with a focus on multicultural environments and talent coaching.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
