DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will be leading a cross functional team of around 8 to 10 software engineers (Frontend-, Backend- and QA Engineers) which is mainly responsible for our Data Processing Pipeline. Our powerful high-traffic platform is designed to process more than 350 terabyte raw data and up to 60k requests/sec. •Manage, coach and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers to find best solutions for complex problems •Improve agile development and continuous deployment process •Foster continuous knowledge transfer; lead discussions with the team and management to define best practices and approaches •Work with product team throughout the development process and guarantee an aligned technical strategy across all agile teams •Ensure continuous process improvement and code quality •Set goals, objectives and priorities. Mentor team members, provide guidance by regular performance reviews REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE •3 years of experience in leading and coaching development teams in an agile environment •Extensive knowledge of agile software development and a strong, clear understanding of software delivery KPIs •Expertise in Scala, Java, Microservices, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL Databases; experience with tools for build and deployment automation (i.e. Maven, SBT, Jenkins, Ansible) •Modern, i.e. responsive leadership style with high social competence and at the same time goal- and project orientation •Ability to maintain a structured working style in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; can manage and prioritize well with a high aspiration for quality balanced with a good sense of pragmatism •Excellent communication skills and convincing performance on all hierarchical levels as well as a strong ability to network and shape positive working relationships •Fluent in English, German language skills are a big plus WHAT WE OFFER •Prospect: We are a continuously growing team with experts in the most future-oriented fields of customer intelligence.
