We're seeking an exceptional Senior Technical Program Manager to join Amazon's ShipTech Analytics (STA) team - the central data and analytics hub powering Amazon's global transportation network. You'll drive high-impact programs that directly influence the success of Amazon's worldwide transportation operations through our flagship platforms - PerfectMile, Mercury, and Transportation Data Platform (TDP). In this role, you'll leverage data-driven insights to enable faster, more efficient, and cost-effective delivery experiences from order to return. Key job responsibilities As a Sr TPM, you'll: - Lead complex cross-functional technical programs working with Engineering teams, Scientists, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to deliver solutions that impact Amazon's global transportation operations - Drive the successful execution of major initiatives around near real-time analytics, automated insights generation, and building closed-loop feedback systems - Own large-scale technical programs that directly impact critical business metrics like Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA) and operational efficiency Partner with leadership across multiple organizations to define strategy, align priorities, and deliver results that scale across Amazon's transportation network - Apply technical expertise to influence architectural decisions and drive simplification of complex systems - Lead improvements in data infrastructure and analytics capabilities that enable faster operational decision-making - Mentor other TPMs and help build technical program management best practices About the team The ShipTech Analytics (STA) team is at the forefront of revolutionizing Amazon's transportation operations through data-driven solutions. We own and maintain mission-critical platforms like PerfectMile, Mercury, and Transportation Data Platform that serve 70K unique users worldwide. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent - Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams - 6y experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications - Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - 3 years of expeirence managing complex technology programs and reporting to executive leadership Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
