Tasks & responsibilities - In your new role, you will be accountable for the continuous development of the global tax compliance strategy including positioning vis-à-vis tax authorities and supporting Boehringer's reputation as a responsible corporate tax citizen. - Moreover, you will spearhead the continuous development of a global Tax Technology strategy for the long-term optimization of our tax position (incl. definition of process requirements) across all tax types. - With your expertise, you will manage, lead, and develop the Tax Compliance & Tax Technology group, having the functional oversight of 9 team members and reporting to the Global Head of Tax & Trade Governance. - Overseeing and controlling the comprehensive tax declaration work for approximately 40 German legal entities will fall under your purview, including tax calculations for annual financial statements. - You will be responsible for managing the tax audit in Germany including building strong defense positions and strategic negotiation leadership, while constantly supervising tax issues in the areas of personal income tax, payroll tax and real estate tax, involving related tax functions as well as other affected functions outside of the Tax Department. - Moreover, you will be tasked with the continuous optimization and operationalization of our Tax and Trade Compliance Framework, while supervising and implementing relevant new compliance and/or documentation obligations/legislations such as DAC6, Pillar 2, etc. - As the Global Head of Tax Compliance & Tax Technology, you will represent Boehringer at associations, committees, and tax conferences, including BDI and VCI. Requirements - Master's degree in economics or law with a tax advisor exam and long-term international experience in consulting or corporate headquarters with a focus on tax compliance - Proven experience in managing employees and projects - binding support of non-specialist interfaces, development, and maintenance of a group-internal network - Experience in tax audits and projects, paired with know-how in tax technology - Team player with a process-oriented way of working and an analytical, goal-oriented mindset - Adaptability and high flexibility, target group specific communication of tax related topics - Fluent German and English, both written and spoken Ready to contact us?
