The CH-47F MTP - CH-47F Maintenance Test Pilot (CH-47F) obtains a detailed knowledge of operating in the AOR airspace. Must be proficient flying in day VFR conditions. Maintenance Test Pilot performs routine acceptance test of aircraft following corrective maintenance. - CH-47F MTP - Maintenance Test Pilot, responsible for all matters pertaining to CH-47 maintenance operations. - A minimum of 1,000 hours of total PIC time is Preferred; with a minimum 300 hours of PIC on the CH-4F7 Required. - Satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within the previous 12 months. Must be qualified in the ( CH-47F ). - US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Clearance, and for facility and base access. - Valid US Passport is required for travel to Germany. - Ensures maintenance of all aircraft are in compliance set forth by appropriate maintenance manuals, operations directives, FAA compliance directives and contractual readiness rates. - Able to successfully complete all no-notice flight evaluations and exams in his/her primary aircraft. - Remains fully qualified in aircraft and perform as a crewmember when necessary. - Tests aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. - Operates models of test aircraft and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. - Coordinates flight operations efforts. - Oversee maintenance operations, test fly and trouble shoot, manage maintenance flow. - Perform other related duties as requested. Requirements: - High School Graduate or equivalent is required. - A minimum of 1,000 hours of total PIC time is Preferred; with a minimum 300 hours of PIC on the CH-47F being Required. - Satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within the previous 12 months. Must be qualified in the ( CH-47F ). - U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is preferred. - Successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course ( MTPC) or complete an equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and 95-20. US ARMY AMOC (phase 1&2) Complete and qualified. - Successfully complete initially and annually thereafter a (US Army Upslip) or FAA Class II flight physical is required. - Must have or be able to pass a FAA or Military Class 2 flight physical. - FAA Certificate, Rotorcraft, Commercial pilot Required. Must have instrument rating on their FAA Commercial Certificates. - In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, US Army Maintenance procedures and regulations. - Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. - Interim SECRET approval required for deployment. - Valid US Passport Required for deployment to Germany. Germany Specific Requirements: - TESA Approval: (German Govt) Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; with 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience. - Travel: As required in support of task order. Knowledge & Skills: - Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. - Demonstrated proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability and professionalism of the highest standards are required for this position. - Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. Must be fluent in the English language. - Working knowledge for operating navigational and communication equipment installed on the aircraft. - Capable of computing and annotating weight and balance logs for the aircraft. Physical Requirements/Working Environment - May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft. - May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts and vehicles. - May be exposed to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure. - Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth. - Must be able to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools. - Must be physically capable of climbing vertical ladders or built-in aircraft steps to heights of 10-12 feet. - May be exposed to chemical mist, gas, vapors, ultra-violet and infrared radiation. - May be required to lift to 50 pounds to a height of four (4) feet and be required to lift to 20 pounds to a height of seven (7) feet. - May be exposed to certain obstructions on the surface as well as ladders, stairs, etc. - May be exposed to rapid or extreme temperature changes.
