At our location in Obernkirchen/near Hanover we employ about 250 people.For the next possible start date we are looking for an Manager, Operations Support / Head of IT Obernkirchen (f/m/d) Your Duties:Leading the 1st - 2nd line IT support specialist to provide top-notch support for our local Bornemann officesManages the team to perform tasks and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task executionProactively plan, coordinate and manage operational support activities (e.g. response to IT related needs) and IT projects within assigned territoryOrganize and lead operations debriefs with local Bornemann site leadership to provide updates and receive feedback at a cadence appropriate to each site''s scope of needCollaborate daily with local facility IT leads to ensure smooth operation and timely ticket resolution across assigned regionConduct thorough site assessments to identify and report out on operational needs, draft optimization plans, and implement scalable solutionsComplete hardware assessments at sites, creating and maintaining a detailed inventory of all hardware in assigned region.Assess, organize, prioritize and/or resolve all operational support requests (e.g. tickets) from all sites under assigned territory in a timely manner. Ensure regular communication (weekly at minimum) to customer on open requests through direct communication or inclusion of work notes in ticketPrepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports on performance metrics for assigned territory upon requestProvide detailed updates to IT leadership upon request and at scheduled one to one and team meetingsEnsure compliance with all corporate and local policies, procedures and regulationsAssuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulationsIT-SOX (US based Sarbanes-Oxley Act) Disaster Recovery testsAuditsThe requirements:A minimum of 6-10 years working in the IT support field.6-8 years of project management experience and in minimum 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experienceCollege Degree in Computer Science, Systems Science, and Computer Engineering or 7 years of relevant discipline.Management experience or experience leading a small team.Excellent customer service, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and leadership skills.Great understanding of Windows environments, networking and collaboration tools (Chat, Video Conferencing rooms/systems and A/V devices).Expertise in technology, including cloud computing, software engineering/development, project management, and data architectureExperience in strategy, project management, vendor and account management, internal product development, and customer experienceExcellent professional verbal and written communication skills and organizational skillsDemonstrated experience working with small groups and interdisciplinary teams
