: The Brooks Tech Rep Manager will lead and execute the field support strategy in all distribution channels located within the DACH region to increase market share, amplify Brooks’ product leadership, and create recognition, awareness and loyalty for the brand. The main focus will be to support all retail partners in driving Brooks products to the market.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day activities of the DACH Tech Rep Team.
2. Provide leadership to each Tech Rep within region through consistent coaching, goal development, and commitment to supporting their career development paths.
3. Lead the overall field support efforts for Brooks at both SRA and Non-Specialty accounts.
4. Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop seasonal plans around product launches, in-store merchandising, and innovative grassroots programs at all accounts.
5. Work with Sales and Marketing to execute strategic events and promotions.
6. Work with Sales management and Marketing on the success of Key Account sell-thru programs/in-store promotions; ensure that all Tech Reps are accountable for an established sell-through number for a pre-determined store base within the respective territory.
7. Develop the Tech Rep Team so that they are fully equipped to motivate the retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about Brooks technology and product leadership via product seminars and clinics.
8. Educate and motivate the strategic retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about Brooks technology and product leadership via product presentation, seminars and clinics.
9. Provide feedback and analysis about the effectiveness of product initiatives and sales strategies.
10. Maintain appearance of leased company vehicle and all Brooks equipment.
11. Work the respective accounts as assigned – be an expert at driving product sell-thru and create initiatives to improve sell-thru in all channels.
12. Assist in managing all Tech Rep budgets within assigned in DACH.
Qualifications:
13. Bachelor’s degree in marketing/S\sales/retail management preferred.
14. 1 – 3 years of retail experience (Athletic Specialty preferred).
15. 2+ years of Marketing/Sales experience within the sports industry preferred.
16. First leadership experience preferred.
17. Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising and retail selling skills.
18. Knowledge of performance athletic footwear/apparel/accessories and their related technologies.
19. Knowledge of the biomechanics of human motion; understanding of injury prevention basics.
20. Understanding of the DACH local running community (events, clubs, coaches, specialty retailers).
21. Highly motivated and energetic with an enthusiastic attitude.
22. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and business English, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
23. Very strong presentation skills.
24. Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company. Works well independently, as well as within a team.
25. Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
26. Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
27. Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
28. Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
29. Extensive travel required; able and willing to work weekends and extended hours as required.
30. Must show proof of good driving record upon request.
