About theRole:
Our client, a leadingmanufacturer in the building materials industry, is seeking ahighly skilled Vice President of SupplyChain to lead and optimize their supply chainoperations across Europe. This is a critical leadership roleresponsible for managing end-to-end supply chain activities, with astrong focus on logistics, warehouse consolidation, automation, anddriving efficiencies in a fast-paced, manufacturing-drivenenvironment.
As VP of Supply Chain, you willoversee multiple large sites across the region, ensure alignmentwith strategic objectives, and lead the transformation of supplychain processes to support the company’s growth and operationalgoals.
KeyResponsibilities:
* End-to-EndSupply Chain Management: Develop and execute supplychain strategies, encompassing procurement, production planning,warehousing, transportation, anddelivery.
* WarehouseOptimization: Lead warehouse consolidation projects,implement fully automated warehouse solutions, and streamlineoperations to achieve cost efficiency and improved servicelevels.
* LogisticsExcellence: Oversee complex logistics networks,ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and optimization oftransport solutions across multiple Europeanlocations.
* S&OPLeadership: Champion the Sales & OperationsPlanning (S&OP) cycle to drive demand forecasting accuracy,inventory management, and alignment with productioncapabilities.
* TeamLeadership: Build, mentor, and lead ahigh-performing supply chain team across multiple sites, fosteringcollaboration and continuousimprovement.
* StakeholderEngagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams,senior leadership, and external partners to align supply chainstrategies with businessobjectives.
* Compliance andSustainability: Ensure all operations meetregulatory standards and contribute to sustainability goals byoptimizing energy use and reducing waste in supply chainprocesses.
Qualifications:
* Languages:Fluency in both German and English isessential.
* 15+ years of progressive experiencein supply chain leadership roles within heavy manufacturingindustries (e.g., building materials, windows, home appliances,heavy goods).
* Proven track record in managinglarge-scale, multi-site supply chain operations acrossEurope.
* Expertise in warehouse consolidationand implementing fully automated warehousesystems.
* Deep understanding of logisticsnetworks and S&OPprocesses.
* Education:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, BusinessAdministration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevantcertifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is aplus.
* Skills:Strategic thinking, strong analytical capabilities, and excellentleadership and communicationskills.
