Youve come to the right place Moving mountains together – as Head of Site and Scientific Services (all genders) (permanent / full-time) As a core member of several AbbVie Germany leadership teams (e.g. R&D LU Extended Leadership Team (RDLT), R&D Support Services Germany), the Head of Site and Scientific Services has a disciplinary responsibility of leading 5 direct and 29 indirect employees (including contractors). The responsibility includes a >8 MM € budget responsibility for direct/indirect spend. The Head of Site and Scientific Services, is responsible for delivering a customer targeted and cost-effective service approach, considering the available infrastructure resources. The position holder is responsible for developing new, innovative, and competitive strategies for site and scientific services balancing current and future AbbVie business needs with available resources. This includes monitoring local and global trends, external benchmarking, and the need to identify, promote and implement new and cutting-edge initiatives to meet AbbVie’s strategic and financial targets as well as local, regional, and global customer demands. The Head of Site and Scientific Services is also responsible for the laboratory space utilization planning for R&D employees and departments in LU. Transferring and implementing the new laboratory space concepts into the new R&D laboratory building LUnA, ensuring efficient utilization of the new laboratory areas. Responsibilities Interpret, develop, and implement strategies, policies, procedures, and systems to ensure high standards for embedded internal service groups to balance business needs and availability of resources. Responsible for the management, training and developing a compliant and diverse workforce of employees, group leaders, supervisors and contractors. Responsible to meet internal and external customer service expectations including interaction with key AbbVie customers participating in customer audits and programs that are expected to improve service or support AbbVie business activity, product security or customer relationships. Monitor local and global trends, both internally and externally, and needs to continuously adjust the Site and Scientific Services and Strategic Planning strategy to meet customer demands as well as to drive the strategic development of the embedded groups. Drive expansion strategy for expert groups to gain local, regional, and global recognition and to extend the client base. Oversight and coordination of legal radiation protection compliance for LU Site. General Ensures compliance of Site and Scientific Services with applicable rules and regulations on local, federal and global levels. Provides and supports the specific position of Radiation Safety Officer for AbbVie Germany. Ensure proper resource and investment planning, as well as actual spend tracking for all teams, anticipating upcoming trends and opportunities. Build high-performing teams including hiring of key talent, setting realistic and challenging performance expectations, providing regular and clear feedback, fostering development and succession plans and dealing with performance issues. Drive effective collaboration amongst the teams. Develop talents by coaching and applying the 70-20-10 approach. Continuing holistic stakeholder engagement and drive proactively communication and excellence change management on site and towards US stakeholders.
