About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of an IPP in the renewable energy sector. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join an established organisation that specialises in the development and construction of large-scale solar parks and hybrid systems worldwide.
You will have the opportunity to work with some leading professionals in the solar industry and affect change in the company due to their flat hierarchy. The current team in Germany is 20 people with 8 people in the business unit you will be joining.
As a Senior Site Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and coordinating major solar projects across Germany. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction activities, leading assembly teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring all work adheres to strict safety regulations and project timelines.
* Manage communication with clients, authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless project delivery.
* Supervise the procurement process for project components, closely monitoring budget and schedule adherence.
* Oversee the tendering process and performance of subcontractors, including the final acceptance of their work.
* Collaborate with energy providers to ensure successful project commissioning.
* Oversee HSE, Quality, Budgets, and construction activities onsite.
What We’re Looking For:
* Extensive experience in construction management, particularly in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects.
* Strong understanding of German construction contract procedures (VOB), contract law, and cost estimation.
* Proficiency in German (spoken and written); English is advantageous.
* Knowledge of EPC processes, HSE regulations, and grid connections.
* An independent, structured work ethic with a strong focus on quality and solution-oriented thinking.
* Willingness to travel across sites in Germany, with a valid Class B driver’s licence.
