Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the development and optimization of genetic analysis pipelines.
2. Process and analyze large-scale genetic datasets from the UK Biobank.
3. Implement and run bioinformatics tools and software for genetic data analysis.
4. Perform quality control checks on genetic data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
5. Collaborate with the research team to interpret and integrate genetic findings with clinical data.
6. Document and report analysis methods and results clearly and accurately.
7. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing research discussions.
Qualifications
8. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Genetics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
10. Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
11. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases.
12. Basic understanding of genetic concepts and data.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Prior experience with large datasets or high-performance computing is a plus.
