Summary
SAP's Supply Chain Management (SCM) offers a leading SaaS portfolio for real-time supply chain management, including design, planning, manufacturing, delivery, and asset operations. The unit SCM Make & Deliver includes the portfolio of SAP Digital Manufacturing and SCM Logistics Management products, adressing all business-critical production and fulfillment activities built on SAP's Business Technology Platform.
We are looking for an experienced Executive leading this SCM Make & Deliver L2 organization, overseeing Product Management and Engineering. SAP Digital Manufacturing is a leading operations management and manufacturing execution system will seamlessly converges enterprise processes with plant and factory execution, automation and insights. SAP Logistics Management offers cloud-native logistics execution capabilities, converging warehouse- and transportation processes for core operations processes. You will be responsible for a team of over 500 professionals, driving the strategic direction, execution and cloud operations. You should have a strong background in leading multi-national cloud native SaaS products, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will drive the vision and strategy for Supply Chain Management - Make & Deliver, establishing credibility with SAP leaders, product teams, customers, and peers. Leading the unit, you will act with a CEO mindset, accountable for the success and growth of your product area.
Role information:
As the leader of SCM Make & Deliver, your responsibilities include:
* Provide strategic leadership to Product and Engineering teams, offering guidance and mentorship.
* Own the SCM Make & Deliver portfolio, including SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP Logistics Management, transforming customer problems into product solutions through product discovery, wireframes, prototypes, and delivering effective business outcomes.
* Oversee technical solution architectures and drive implementation of cloud native principles by leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform technology best practices and guidelines.
* Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to ensure alignment with their needs.
* Conduct customer research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable product strategies.
* Focus on customer adoption and satisfaction at every stage, monitor and analyze product performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings and drive revenue growth.
* Take ownership of the product roadmap by prioritizing features and capabilities based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives.
* Lead a highly efficient global engineering organization, driving innovation and delivery excellence. Ensure scalability, engineering expertise, best practices, continuous learning, and successful execution of the product strategy to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
* Balance the priorities of functional product innovations as desired by customers and partners versus quality improvements and non-functional requirements to achieve high-scale, high-reliability and high-availability operations in the Cloud.
* Establish a leadership model to continuously improve development, support, and cloud operations processes to increase productivity.
* Build an empowering culture for engineering teams with transparent guardrails and goals, making visible the key contributors to the organization's success and identifying areas needing improvement.
* Ensure alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
* Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and the board, working closely with the executive leadership team to define and execute the overall business strategy, ensuring that product management and engineering functions are aligned with the company's vision.
* Provide strategic leadership to the organization.
* Engage customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure the right problems are being solved and that products built meet customer needs.
* Possess exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to handle conflicting demands, along with highly refined written communication and oral presentation skills, particularly for senior executive and board-level communication.
A thorough understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics processes, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to deconstruct critical components and complexity drivers are required. You are expected to provide well-conceived and defensible conclusions, including impact analysis and relevance for the SAP Supply Chain Management Business Unit. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural organization, characterized by open and frank dialogue, where time-to-market, productivity, and efficiency are important success factors is necessary.
Role Requirements
* Professional with an academic background in Computer Science, Business, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree, MBA, PhD, or related advanced degree is advantageous.
* Experience in Product Management and/or Engineering leadership roles for SaaS enterprise software solution providers.
* Strong knowledge in Manufacturing and/or Logistics processes and solutions or related fields.
* Experience in developing and executing product strategies that lead to revenue growth and market share increase.
* Leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and directing diverse groups, evidenced by high leadership trust and employee engagement scores.
* International experience that demonstrates effective communication with multicultural teams.
* Communication and presentation skills in English, including C-Level communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
* Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
* Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic environments, with the capacity to adjust to shifting priorities.
* Proven practical experience in overseeing and leading cloud native engineering organizations using latest technologies and principles
* Leadership qualities include trustworthiness, empowerment, clarity, reliability, accountability, and execution-focus.
WORK EXPERIENCE
* Over 15 years of experience in Product Engineering or Product Management, focusing on Supply Chain SaaS applications, especially Supply Chain PlanningManufacturing and Logistics.
