About Factor We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Health & Safety Manager to join our growing Factor Europe team and lead the safety efforts for this project. We are seeking a Occupational Health & Safety Manager, for our newest brand: Factor (factormeals.nl), a healthy, ready-to-heat meal delivery service. As the Occupational Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all health and safety programs for our new food processing site. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety across the site. This is a unique opportunity to shape the safety practices from the ground up and make a significant impact on our operations. What you’ll do Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures for the new processing line, working closely with the H&S Manager. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Organize and conduct safety briefings and training to promote safety awareness and competence of all employees. Supporting the investigation of incidents and accidents, analyzing causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Promote a strong safety culture through active collaboration with management and employees. Supporting the creation and maintenance of emergency plans and conducting drills to ensure operational readiness. Ensuring the proper maintenance and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. Helping to optimize processes such as annual safety briefings, accident reporting systems and safety inspections. What you’ll bring: Completed training with ideally 1-3 years of professional experience in occupational safety or related fields, preferably in the food production, manufacturing, chemical or consumer goods industry. Willingness to qualify as an occupational safety specialist (FaSi) alongside your job, if not already available - we will support you Alternatively: Already certified as a FaSi. Initial experience or interest in topics such as fire protection, handling biological agents or safety instructions. Fluency in German and business fluent in written and spoken English. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey information in a target group-oriented manner. Analytical thinking and problem solving skills, especially in recognizing and eliminating risks. Independent and structured way of working and flexibility to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
