Job Summary
I am seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead my client's high-end restaurant, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and financial success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury dining, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to inspire a team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
1. Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and efficiency.
2. Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
4. Manage reservations, guest relations, and VIP experiences to uphold a premium dining atmosphere.
Financial & Business Performance
1. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
2. Analyse financial reports, sales trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive revenue growth.
3. Oversee inventory management, supplier negotiations, and cost control measures.
4. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing front-of-house and back-of-house team.
5. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
6. Conduct staff performance evaluations, implement training programmes, and encourage career development.
Guest Experience & Brand Development
1. Ensure an exceptional guest experience, handling VIPs and customer feedback professionally.
2. Work closely with the Head Chef to develop seasonal menus and wine pairings.
3. Maintain the restaurant’s reputation through strategic marketing, social media presence, and PR initiatives.
Supplier & Stakeholder Relations
1. Build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring premium ingredients and beverages.
2. Collaborate with external partners for events, promotions, and brand collaborations.
3. Liaise with the ownership team to align business goals and strategies.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a General Manager in a high-end restaurant.
2. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
3. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
4. Knowledge of premium food and beverage trends, including wine and spirits.
5. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with experience handling VIP clientele.
6. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve problems efficiently.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
