Hauptaufgaben
Serves as help desk Customer Support assigned to 405th LRC Wiesbaden, with responsibility for .performing and all technical systems functions in the 405th Wiesbaden environment. Provides complex IT support including the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and customer assistance to support agency's mission requirements. Support for network users with the responsibility for assessing and solving local IT related problems. Creates, administers, and repairs user and group accounts. Administers user file share and coordinates with security manager on all network security issues, including assistance in installing and configuring systems security software and patches. Installs and configures software applications and provides technical support. Administers network security to include assigning user groups, and appropriate user permissions. Ensures all workstations remain in an operational status by closely monitoring them and identifying and reporting problems immediately to enterprise network analysts. Analyzes and diagnoses difficult and complex hardware, software, networks and systems problems reported by users within 405th LRC Wiesbaden organization related to a wide variety of software applications, operating systems and IT equipment. Troubleshoots, investigates and analyzes actual or potential complex problems in system software, applications software interfacing, and/or IT equipment to isolate causes of malfunctions. Analyzes reported problems, develops modifications and procedures to resolve the problems, and initiate corrective action. Develops and recommends standard problem resolution methodologies and procedures. Coordinates with Signal and Network Enterprise specialists to identify IT improvements and ways to provide greater effectiveness and economy of services. Develops plans for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining user IT equipment and software. Checks installed systems and diagnoses user problems encountered. Resolves problems and conflicts when procured items do not meet with prescribed specifications. Investigates transmission/communications problems and coordinates solutions with specialists. STIG all network equipment in accordance with army DISA prior adding to Active Directory; assign workstations, laptops, printers and digital sender names to AD object in accordance with army naming schema and rules, and maintain the Asset and Vulnerability Tracking Resource (A&VTR) database for the 405th LRC area of responsibility. Supports and troubleshoots hardware and software Information Assurance (IA) problems pertaining to their CE or NE as well as complying with system termination procedures Ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirements.
Prepares Information Management Acquisition Requests (IMAR) for software and hardware, and keeps record of all product keys. Employee tracks warranty and reports broken equipment to the vendor/contractor for repair or replacement. Manages Directorate Active Directory (AD) accounts and their compliance, and coordinates with local NEC system administrators of IT systems for standard baseline support, to include the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) team as required. Creates, deletes, and places AD objects.

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 4 years of experience as
defined in B below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: l years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 4 years of experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level III: 3 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level IV: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below.
E&T Level V: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
Training: Incumbent of the position must complete mandatory training as directed.
Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
Office automation skills are required.
English Language Proficiency Level C1 German Language Proficiency Level B2 required.
