About the role In the Account Executive / Sales Lead we are looking for someone to build our sales and go to market function, and to grow with the company. As the most senior sales professional in the team, you will be expected to quickly develop a perspective on our sales motion, drive our sales strategy, and build the company’s sales practices from the ground up. You will play a key role in setting and articulating our value proposition, and in taking it to customers. You will work on making our SaaS platform the industry’s leading software stack to help scale carbon markets and champion new types of climate solutions that the world desperately needs to keep global temperature in check. In this role, you will partner directly with the company’s founders, Marketing, Product and Climate teams, and help shape BlueLayer’s team and culture. Responsibilities Sales Strategy Development : Develop and implement the sales strategy to engage with both large and smaller scale carbon project developers and meet sales targets. Prospecting : Identify new business opportunities through BlueLayer’s existing lead pipeline, targeted research, networking, industry conferences, and outbound outreach. Pipeline Management : Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals with carbon project developers. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise-level accounts. Negotiation and Closing : Negotiate terms and pricing with prospects, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Collaboration : Partner with marketing, product, and customer excellence to align the sales process with the product roadmap, managing expectations and guiding roadmap sequencing. Voice of the Customer : Provide insights from the sales process to BlueLayer’s product and design teams to iterate on our world-class carbon management platform and to marketing to establish BlueLayer as the leading industry voice. Reporting: Utilize CRM tools to track and report on sales activities and progress.
