Responsibilities Ownership for executing procurement tasks for terminal or transport related activities in close alignment with global and local procurement teams and in line with the globally defined procurement playbook Preparation and execution of negotiations using various analyzing/data tools Leading negotiations with business partners for assigned procurement category Evaluation of negotiation/tender results including presentation of outcome to involved stakeholders e.g. Regional and Area Management, Global Procurement Execute contracts within day-to-day Operations in close alignment with Network Execution, Network & Cooperation, Trade Management, Area Operations Manage contract adherence internal and externally Creating strong rapport with external business partners and internal functions, aiming to become best in class procurement organization Supplier contract management in cooperation with legal, insurance and other stakeholders Prepare, execute and manage suppliers while evaluating quantitative and qualitative KPIs Monitoring and evaluation of current market environment and industry developments within Region North Europe Benchmarking Hapag-Lloyd's market position against the competition Qualifications Completed training as a shipping or forwarding agent, Bachelor's degree (HSBA), or comparable qualification Professional experience in a procurement function (strategic procurement or category management) preferred but not a must Good knowledge of the market, competition & Hapag-Lloyd organizational structure Negotiation skills (can also be acquired through appropriate training) Responsible, determined, agile and open-minded personality High affinity for numbers, analytical, independent and efficient way of working Business fluent in written and spoken English Excellent knowledge of QlikView, QlikSense, Excel and PowerPoint or willingness to acquire the relevant skillset quickly
