The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts). This is a part-time contract position. The standard weekly hours will be 8 hours. The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants. The position corresponds to a pay grade of 15,20 euros per hour. Unser Profil At the Learning on Graphs Lab, led by Prof. Dr. Christopher Morris at the Chair of Machine Learning and Reasoning at RWTH Aachen University, we are developing theoretical and practical approaches for machine learning on graphs. Machine learning on graphs is a relatively new field in machine learning that focuses on the structure of data and develops machine learning methods that automatically make predictions about properties of graphs. The work in our lab is characterized by always examining practical methods in terms of their theoretical properties. Ihr Profil - Bachelor's degree and immatriculation in a consecutive course - a (very) good grade in the Master's lecture “Foundations of Data Science” and a solid understanding of the subject matter. - very good English Ihre Aufgaben The Learning on Graphs group (Machine Learning and Reasoning, i6), headed by Christopher Morris (https://log-rwth.github.io/), is looking for Research Assistants with Bachelor's degree (f/m/d) to support us in conducting the Master-level lecture “Foundations of Data Science” for the upcoming summer semester 2025. The main job will be to correct the exercise sheets handed in by students.
