The Junior Accountant plays a fundamental role within the Finance team, directly supporting the Accountant in day-to-day operations. This role is crucial to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records. The Accounting Assistant is primarily responsible for the proper processing of supplier invoices, travel expenses, and other accounting entries, helping maintain the integrity of the company’s financial information and ensuring a smooth monthly closing process. Process and record supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Review and enter employee travel and expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and compliance. Assist in the daily posting of journal entries and other accounting transactions into the ERP system. Support the monthly and quarterly closing process by preparing reconciliations and assisting with accruals. Assist with vendor inquiries and payment follow-ups. Support internal and external audits by organizing and providing requested documentation. Help reconcile bank statements and monitor payment schedules. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a timely and accurate flow of financial data. Maintain orderly accounting files and documentation, both digital and physical. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the accounting function. Other duties as assigned by the Accountant or Finance Manager. Degree or technical training in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role or internship in an accounting environment is an asset. Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations. Experience working with ERP systems (Navision/BC365 preferred) is highly desirable. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data formatting). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage.
