The university provides an innovative setting characterised by people of diverse backgrounds, qualifications and cultures.\nThe School of Engineering - Energy and Information (Faculty 1) is appointing a\nProfessor (W2) | Permanent\nComputer Architecture and Computer Systems\nBachelor-s and Master-s degree program in Computer Engineering\nWe are looking for a qualified and team-oriented individual to cover the following fields of expertise by holding lectures and carrying out applied research in our study programme of Computer Engineering:\nRealization and operation of homogeneous and heterogeneous computer architectures and computer systems\nArchitecture of microprocessors and special purpose processors (e.g. for signal processing and machine learning)\nProgramming in C and C++ as well as interface and driver programming\n\nYour tasks\nHolding lectures in the above-mentioned subject areas and in foundation courses in our department\nAcquisition and implementation of industry or third-party funded research projects\nActive participation in the academic self-governance of the faculty and the university\n\nYour profile\nCompleted university degree in the field of computer engineering or a related field of study and fulfillment of the recruitment requirements according to §100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act\nProfound knowledge and practical experience - preferably acquired in industry - in the above-mentioned key areas\nAbility and willingness to teach courses in German and ideally also in English\nAlso desired are\nInterest in dealing with students and passing on knowledge\nWillingness to participate in development of the faculty research profile and to actively acquire and carry out research projects\nExcellent communication skills and a willingness to work together on a wide range of topics within the faculty\n\nFurther information, e.g.
