Join as Software Engineer to the Oracle Cloud Automation & Installer development team, to work with a great group of developers and architects people from India, USA and Mexico that is in charge of developing, maintaining, and enhancing the tool used for the database life cycle management in main Oracle Database Cloud offerings like ExaCS, ExaCC and ExaXS, as well as for the installers of GRID and database. As part of the team you will be developing solutions for better implementing Oracle Database features for easier use and benefit of the customers with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. You will partner with QA teams in defining and implementing testing plans for multiple projects as well as Control Plane team to integrate all new features. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies. Skills Development experience with Java. Deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming Understanding of Unix-like operating systems Scripting language experience (Perl, Bash, Python, etc ) Experience with SQL. Experience with product development cycle. Experience with control version systems like GIT, Bitbucket Experience working and coordinating work across multiple teams Strong communication in English Nice to have Knowledge of Oracle cloud Understanding of relational database technology, with knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture and internals RMAN Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
