For one of our clients, we are looking for a freelance Product Owner / Digital Asset Management (DAM) Consultant PROJECT DESCRIPTION a. Short description of the project: NOVA is a newly established enterprise Digital Assets Management solution at MVP (minimum viable product) state and requires additional development and operations stability as post MVP phase and based on agile methodologies. b. The project has the purpose to improve the NOVA solution with new features, operations stability ensuring user adherence. BACKGROUND TO THE ASSIGNMENT The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Product Delivery requires the engagement of an external contractor with specialized expertise combining Adobe Experience Manager Assets (AEM), Adobe Workfront including specific first and second level support expertise (second level support fixed term in this area). Provision of business ticket management, backlog assessment, and product delivery of DAM functionalities is required. Given the complexity, the contractor will independently manage business requirements, backlog refinement, and monitoring of the product's performance. Their role aims that business demands are effectively translated into value-driven use cases, epics, and user stories, which leads to efficient product delivery and user adoption. The above defined topics of the project are completely outsourced and only provided by the contractor who has therefore a unique position compared to the adidas’ internal project staff and provides additional Adobe experience which is not yet fully available internally. Contractor therefore provides knowledge transfer. Project-related meetings take place not more than once a month (based on the project phase and progress). The contractor’s participation is limited only to its progress report; the external is not present at the meetings either before or after. The contractor does also take part in the agile ceremonies, focusing on Kanban board delivery. SERVICE DESCRIPTION Delivery of services in an agile, independent manner, coordinating iteratively through sprint meetings and with the overall roadmap. Sprint planning and execution will be carried out autonomously by the contractor or with a sign off from adidas. The service will be provided within the framework of an agile development method and the assignments of tasks to the contractor will be managed using a Kanban board or respective ASPEN group or Info-mailbox (for tickets). The contractor will be granted access to the Kanban board, and they will be able to pick tasks (move them into their respective “In Progress” lane) from the board independently based on the assigned priority. Due to the agile nature of Kanban, not all work packages can already be defined in advance and more work packages could be defined over the course of the project, but which are generally provided independently by the contractor. Nevertheless, the existing backlog gives a good indication of tasks that are completed. The contractor will take over the role of a product owner. Scope of Services: The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the contractor: DAM Product Delivery and Sustain ● Business Ticket Management: o Completion of business tickets within the product by applying Adobe tool (AEM & Workfront) expertise at the first and second levels. In case of technical related issues, handover to external IT Operations team through creation of respective Jira tickets for defects as applicable. Clear appearance as an external consultant of adidas whenever interacting with external parties. o Distribution of user accesses within the NOVA DAM Platform. ● Business Process, Product- and Product Backlog Management: o Evaluation and steering of business user requests in the DAM product backlog based on the contractor’s expertise. o Translation of business process understanding into value-driven use cases, epics, and user stories within the NOVA Platform. Before development starts, handover to adidas DAM business team for sign-off and prioritization against criticality. o Definition of the DoD (Definition of Done): Setting of acceptance criteria within the user story, presentation toward the development team as part of agile refinement sessions and validation (testing of expected system behavior) against, following the completion of the user story delivered by the technical team (internal and external). In case of any defects, creation of respective Jira tickets. o Provision of remote tool trainings within Product- and Campaign Assets, in terms of key use cases (how to upload, download, sharing of digital assets, Centralized Adaptation Model Process), Main part of Training material provided by adidas, adjustment of training material only in case of new features by contractor based on own expertise. o Within Marketing Content Assets Management - Execution of GTMSO and THO events to steer timely and seamless event completion: provision of user access, remote training including refinement of the existing training material via SharePoint. Provision of consultancy on biz process execution based on own expertise. o Provision of weekly reports via PowerPoint/email: Project status and progress reporting (up to 3 pages). Identification, highlighting, and mitigation of potential product risks based on own expertise. Escalation of risks to adidas via email or in risk management meetings as applicable.
