We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional for the pet food industry to join our commercial team, reporting directly to the Head of Pet Food. This is a full-time role with a hybrid work model - combining time in the office and working remotely.
In this key position, you will manage both new business development and customer relationships to maximize overall performance. As our team continues to grow, you’ll be responsible for expanding into new markets while fostering strong customer connections.
Your tasks
* Identify and develop new markets in the pet food sector
* Build and maintain strong relationships to enhance the customer experience.
* Manage and expand our ingredients portfolio for pet food (Plant-based and functional ingredients, but also animal by-products are optional).
* Achieve expert status for key ingredients within the company.
* Work closely with various internal teams to execute strategies.
* Represent Grainli® at networking events like trade shows but also at conferences and customer events.
* Create and maintain a system for up-to-date market data in your area.
* Drive the commercial strategy of the department.
* Incorporate Grainli’s values into your work.
* Leverage social media to communicate with partners (currently LinkedIn).
Requirements
* More than 3 years of experience in a relevant international commercial role in feed ingredients, pet food experience is a big plus
* Excellent communication skills in English and another language suited to the potential markets
* Strong sales skills and a “closer” mentality
* Strong benefit communication and customer orientation
* Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture
* Team player and a transparent communicator
* Knowledge of international business practices across regions especially in your active market (Europe, Asia, Africa, America).
* Proactive in managing responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities.
* Entrepreneurial spirit that drives you to take initiative.
