Postdoctoral Researcher with a focus on machine learning
Aalen University of Applied Science is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join their team in the Department of Computer Science.
We are looking for a talented individual to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI technologies and apply them to areas with high societal and economic impact. The successful candidate will be part of the KI-Booster project, which aims to elevate AI-guided manufacturing and materials processing to a new level.
Responsibilities
* Take a leading role in shaping the project and mentoring PhD students
* Develop innovative methods for integrating domain knowledge into physics-informed transformer models
* Publish research at high-ranking conferences and leading journals
* Organize workshops and seminars with internal and external partners
* Disseminate project results on regional and national levels
Requirements
* M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, along with a PhD focused on Machine Learning
* Prior knowledge of transformer models is advantageous
* Curiosity and passion for science, with a drive to create real-world impact
* Strong team player, communicative, friendly, and positive attitude
* High proficiency in English; knowledge of German is highly welcome

The position is limited and generally divisible. The successful candidate will be classified in pay group TV-L 13 of the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states.
