JOB DESCRIPTION INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO - Implementing, integrating, and maintaining the selected LS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) - Translating technical specifications into programming specifications - Writing, debugging, and maintaining code - Investigate and resolve complex problems related to laboratory data reporting standards, laboratory data quality and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) user functional needs and requirements - Determine how to connect a variety of complex laboratory instruments to LIMS as required Analyze IT systems requirements, troubleshoot implementation problems, coordinate and schedule repair actions - Advise Laboratory Director, Scientific Director, Quality Assurance Officer, and Division Chiefs on approaches to the system management and control; technical aspects of laboratory system user's data requirements, system testing, documentation, and lab instrument integration QUALIFICATIONS - Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License, USAREUR driver's license, US Army Transportation Motorpool (TMP) driver's license, and International/EU Identity Card allowing travel within the EU for the entire term of service - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or Engineering or a related discipline - Ability to translate technical specifications into programming specifications; programming languages - Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining code - Knowledge of workstation management; public health concepts, principles, and practices - Knowledge of laboratory quality assurance principles; security regulations; infrastructure requirements; internal commands and processes, systems management, systems security, backup and restoration processes; database maintenance; test, debug, and maintain software programs; disaster recovery procedures; - Knowledge of data transfer methods; storage methods and limitations; instrument and site configurations; and development and use of business case analysis techniques. - Minimum of three years experience in a laboratory setting - Be able to read, write, and speak English well APPLICATION PROCESS For more information, go to our website (https://french-consulting.com/careers/).
