Key Responsibilities: Drive the growth of air freight and ocean freight services in Germany by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and securing long-term contracts. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Provide tailored, innovative solutions to meet clients freight forwarding needs, offering both air and ocean freight options, along with other supply chain services. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of solutions and the highest levels of service. Maintain a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy and decision-making. Achieve sales targets and KPIs by consistently closing deals and expanding the customer base. Monitor and report on business development progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership on opportunities, pipeline, and results. Key Requirements: Extensive experience in business development within the freight forwarding industry, with a strong focus on air freight and ocean freight solutions. Proven track record of success in driving new business, closing deals, and managing long-term client relationships. Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, supply chain management, and logistics processes. Fluent in both German and English; additional language skills are a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of an organisation.
