Support the CIP business unit, in the Leipzig Hub to effectively manage all financial processes in an efficient and understood manner. Participate in design and ensure implementation of strategy for Controlling, financial or non-financial (e.g. ESG) planning, analysis and management, advising the management team and influencing strategic direction in line to business objectives, Group standards, accounting principles and regulations. Ensure effective business partnering to the project lead in the Leipzig Hub and key project team lead to ensure smooth running of all finance and associated processes. Deliver operational plans to ensure that financial analysis, performance related reporting and relevant financial and / or non-financial information are provided accurately and as per timelines. Contribute to the definition of the Controlling strategy including budgeting, financial planning, financial strategies for the business and budgets. Lead Controlling activities and initiatives including budgeting, forecasting and mid-term planning with significant impact on overall results and/ or significant business risk potential and provide recommendations to senior management. Ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly with accurate and on-time recommendations and reports. Develop and ensure implementation of Controlling and Budgeting policies, procedures and methods related to financial area, budgets and general costs for preparation of statements necessary for budget control. Develop and ensure implementation of Controlling systems and processes that reflect best practices and work across multiple business areas and countries. Ensure functioning and contribute to development as per requirement of global reporting software (CREST). Resolve complex issues related to Controlling such as adjusting for taxes, VAT, varying local legal requirements, etc. Evaluate findings and advise on ongoing and future business activities with regard to profitability, financial risk and implications, drawing on specialist colleagues as needed to highlight key issues. Support creation, review and follow-up on investments and business cases. Analyze and recommend improvements and enhancements in existing Controlling processes, systems, techniques and methods to enhance transparency and efficiency, e.g. through digitalization and automation. Where applicable (e.g. for ESG Controlling), ensure building up reporting processes, collection of data and definition of KPIs.
