Could you be the full-time Director operations procurement (f/m/d) we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
You will focus on procurement organizations for Mainline and LRV sites, including locations in Hennigsdorf, Salzgitter, Bautzen, Görlitz, and coordination in Vienna. Our Rolling Stock & Components product line offers the most extensive portfolio in the rail industry. We prioritize innovation in green and smart solutions, such as emission-free propulsion systems like batteries and hydrogen. You will report to the Procurement Director CNE and lead a dedicated team of four direct reports and one dotted report.
We’ll look for you to :
Team Facilitation and Management:
* Ensure your team adheres to the Alstom Code of Ethics.
* Foster team engagement in close coordination with the Regional Procurement Director.
* Oversee the development of the procurement site director and their team.
* Inspire and continuously enhance your team’s skills within a multicultural environment to improve competencies.
* Maintain close collaboration with Global Procurement, regional strategic procurement, regional PPM, and PTM organizations (Commodity Manager, Domain Director) to implement Global strategies and create synergies.
* Welcome new resources, manage their local integration, and ensure they receive coaching from senior colleagues.
* Apply and support Alstom Transport Procurement rules, processes, and tools.
* Manage your cost center effectively, ensuring your organization is appropriately sized to meet business needs.
Procurement Performance:
* Implement and support Alstom Procurement Golden Rules, processes, and tools.
* Provide procurement expertise to assist the local buyer team.
* Challenge global sourcing (Commodity Manager / Commodity Director) to ensure successful project execution and profitability during escalation phases.
* Drive continuous improvement across the local buyer team through APSYS Procurement.
* Oversee supplier local QCD performance.
* Conduct regular (minimum monthly) evaluations of supplier QCD performance, resolve major issues, and ensure the achievement of objectives.
Project Execution and Profitability:
* Support the local team in navigating commercial and contractual negotiations during the project execution phase.
* Challenge site stakeholders (engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.) to ensure project execution and profitability.
* Monitor procurement performance within projects and implement action plans in case of deviations, driving operational performance and efficiency.
* Analyze risks and establish appropriate mitigation plans.
* Document and share lessons learned regarding key issues.
Operational Excellence & Cash Focus:
* Assist the supply chain in monitoring and securing raw material inventory and On Time in Full (OTIF) objectives.
* Support quality initiatives for Non-Conformities Report handling and improvement, as well as managing the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) S1.
* Collaborate with the accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable days.
* Actively participate in industrial continuous improvement initiatives.
Performance Measurements:
* Focus on savings actions aimed at securing and enhancing gross margin.
* Monitor Non-Conformities Reports and On Time Delivery / CONQ S1 and procurement coverage.
* Ensure LGR and SGR adherence on time.
* Ensure First Article Inspection (FAI) is completed on time (RS&C).
* Track tender ambitions (ASIP) and sourcing action plans from SPR, including claims and ambition coverage.
* Ensure purchase orders are processed on time.
* Contribute to the improvement of the APSYS Procurement maturity roadmap.

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proficiency in lean management methodology
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, compliance, and regulations, including knowledge of the Alstom code of ethics.
* Experience in team management and development, with a focus on multicultural environments and talent coaching.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
