We are looking for a Computational Materials Scientist with focus on Glass and Glass Ceramics to join our Research & Development Team at our headquarters in Mainz.
Your Contribution
1. Integration of materials simulation and materials informatics approaches with R&D processes
2. In-depth analysis of material-process-property relations to meet future product requirements
3. Translation of insights into industrial practice
4. Responsibility for ambitious development projects
5. Networking with scientific community and technology providers; monitoring the state of the art
Your Profile
6. Excellent PhD in physics, chemistry or materials science
7. Proficiency in one major programming language (Python, C++, C, Fortran, etc.)
8. Experience in glass and glass ceramics, industrial development, machine-learned interatomic potentials and/or data engineering is a plus
9. Fluent business English (written and spoken), willingness to learn German
10. Willingness to travel abroad
