The Powertrain Module in Vestas Power Solutions is responsible for developing the complete Vestas powertrain for both onshore and offshore wind turbines. The module consists of 3 design submodules, Lubrication & MBA (Main Bearing Arrangement), Gearbox, and Generator. The Gearbox submodule is responsible and accountable for the Gearbox design solutions provided by our Gearbox suppliers and the integration of the Gearbox into the Powertrain. The main focus is providing solutions to reduce energy costs faster than the market. We are working on flexible solutions to provide customized offerings to our customers so they can thrive in mature and emerging markets, even with complex local content demands.
The Gearbox submodule is a truly global team with primary locations in Dortmund (Germany), Porto (Portugal) and Chennai (India).

Responsibilities
* Evaluation of test bench data through advanced analytics and exploration of the latest data evaluation methods
* Become familiar with innovative sensor technologies used for Condition Monitoring
* Assessment and Validation of AI Methods based on neural networks
* Explore Critical Gearbox operational states by anomaly detection
* Discover correlations between sensor data and operation states
* Rating Sensor Technologies regarding validity, sensitivity and implementation efforts.
* Transfer learnings into the organisation
Qualifications
* B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; currently in the final years of your Master’s degree
* Experience in sensor technology and data analysis
* Previous work experience in the wind industry would be valuable
* Fluency in English, with advanced written and verbal communication skills
Competencies
* Technical understanding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* Experience in collaborating with stakeholders
* Proficiency in creating clear and concise technical documentation
