Our team currently has an opening for a motivated and detail-oriented Working Student (m/f/d) Data Excellence BES.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of product master data, specifically within SAP MDG (Master Data Governance). You will play an essential part in maintaining and enhancing the data, ensuring compliance with company standards, and supporting the continuous improvement of our data management processes.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Independently handle maintenance, changes, and enrichment of product data within SAP MDG, including creating and processing product master data requests.
* Support the creation and modification of product master data by processing change requests efficiently and accurately.
* Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure that data management activities align with overall business needs and compliance requirements.
* Perform product analysis to check the allocated sales per defined business rules and product portfolio steering logic.
* Perform regular checks to validate that product master data is consistent across all relevant systems.
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of product data, confirming that requested changes or allocations adhere to central governance and established guidelines.
* Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies or data quality issues.
* Contribute to process improvements, working closely with senior team members to streamline workflows and data management procedures.
YOUR PROFILE
Required Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program (preferably in Business Administration, Chemistry, Data Management, or a related field).
* Basic understanding of product master data management and data governance processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large data sets and performing data analysis.
* Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Good understanding of the product creation processes and their impact on regional/local business processes (ideally)
* Analytical skills and ability to perform root-cause analysis in case of issues.
* Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with different stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with data administration or in the chemicals industry is advantageous.
* Familiarity with chemical products or terminology is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
