Tobacco Processing Technical Training Manager (m/f/d)
To strengthen our team in the area of Technical & Functional Training at the Trier plant, we are looking for a Tobacco Processing Technical Training Manager (m/f/d) in permanent employment.
Your job mission:
TFT (Technical & Functional Training) is a global JTI GSC function focused on upskilling employees, enhancing efficiency, and eliminating skill-related losses. With a team of more than 50 experts, we provide technical and functional training across multiple factories, supporting performance improvements and complex projects, working under IWS ( Integrated Work System) philosophy. Our reach spans 40+ GSC (Global Supply Chain) factories, we train 1,500+ technicians each year, execute multiple key technical projects, within the GSC on its IWS journey across JTI’s operations.

You'll enhance GSC factories operations in machinery, quality, safety, and KPI improvement projects. Your tasks:
* Lead and manage a team of TFT technical instructors, ensuring effective performance, task allocation, and structured training development.
* Deliver technical training and develop efficiency improvement plans for personnel.
* Provide technical support to factories, including machinery performance, quality, safety, and maintenance improvements.
* Participate in technical projects, skills assessments, and training needs analysis.
* Stay updated on equipment modifications, prepare technical documentation, and maintain training program accuracy.
* Serving as a point of contact for internal and external functions (e.g., Global IWS Teams, Quality, Engineering, etc.).
Your profile:
* Relevant educational background: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education (High School minimum); additional technical qualifications are an advantage.
* Practical experience: At least 5 years of experience in the tobacco industry, with strong knowledge of tobacco processing (primary) equipment. Experience in people management/coaching and in training delivery.
* Special strengths: Deep understanding of technical training methodologies and equipment maintenance.
* Valuable knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Language proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English.
* Suitable personality: Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with global teams.
* Additional requirements: Availability for business travel approximately 60% of working time.
* Practiced working time model: flexitime.
