Purpose of the Role
Join the EMEA Communications team as the Head of Communications – EMEA, where you will lead the development and execution of a high-impact strategic communications and PR strategy across the region. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, regional offices, and external partners, you will drive key messaging, manage crisis communications, and support business growth.
In this strategic leadership role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the brand’s visibility, reputation, and engagement with key media, journalists, and influencers, ensuring a strong and consistent presence across the EMEA market.
Reporting into the EMEA Regional Director and dotted line reporting into the Chief Communications & DEI Officer your main responsibilities include;
* Developing and creating a regional communication strategy that aligns with global objectives, ensuring those are tailored to the needs of the EMEA region.
* Maintaining existing relationships and build new ones with key journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the corporate, automotive and non-automotive spheres across the EMEA region.
* Developing and implementing that strategy to maximise Bentley's editorial share of voice, creating desire and aspiration by generating positive editorial comment focused on media that will be most relevant to our target customer, for which KPIs will be developed around brand share-of-voice and sentiment across targeted automotive and non-automotive media.
* Leading and developing an earned social media strategy in line with the objectives of the central communications team.
* Utilising existing relationships with non-automotive media to spread Bentley news beyond the car.
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of communications professionals across multiple EMEA markets: Regional Communications Manager, agencies, retailer PR Manager.
* Working closely with central, local and regional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding.
* Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of regional communication campaigns and initiatives through key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics set by the Central Communications team.
About the Team
Sitting within the Global Sales & Marketing function, the EMEA team is truly dynamic and very diverse, comprising of approx. 50 members across the UK, Middle East and Europe. The consolidated region covers 95 retailers in 42 markets. With Munich as the European base, you’ll be working closely with your colleagues, our retailers and our media partners to deliver the necessary actions to achieve the number one position in luxury brand image and desirability. About you – Skills and Experience
* Well-established relationships with key automotive, lifestyle, and corporate media across major markets, along with a trusted reputation in the industry.
* Fluent in both German and English with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
* Deep expertise in the automotive industry, with extensive knowledge of products, market trends, and industry dynamics.
* Proven communications background, with significant experience in the EMEA automotive sector and a long-standing reputation among journalists across the region.
* Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align communication strategies with budget goals and a comprehensive understanding of automotive production, Sales, and Aftersales.
* A proactive and strategic mindset, demonstrated by the ability to develop creative solutions to both strategic and tactical business challenges, supporting Sales and Marketing objectives.
* Extensive experience in core communications disciplines, including public speaking, writing for print and digital media, internal reporting, and managing agencies and suppliers.
* Exceptional influencing and persuasion skills, essential for driving engagement and shaping key narratives.
* Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or a business-related field, preferably in Communication, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
