Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Trade Compliance Manager (m/f/d)
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide reliable, practical and risk-mitigating trade compliance related advice and solutions
* Drive key compliance program initiatives forward in a change-driven international environment
* Regularly evaluate, improve, implement, and monitor processes, policies and procedures
* Conduct as necessary (ad-hoc) sanction list screenings and enhanced KYC due diligence checks
* Review relevant legal and regulatory developments and analyze their impact on Brenntag's business and monitor their implementation
* Provide trade compliance and system training for Brenntag management and employees
* Work cross-functionally with employees at all levels to ensure efficient integration and execution of the trade compliance program
* Further develop Brenntag's internal positive compliance culture
YOUR PROFILE
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in trade compliance
* Master of Law/ Business or similar degree preferred, unless equivalent experience is demonstrated
* Deep understanding of how to analyze regulations and develop and implement procedures, policies and trainings
* Ability to develop, manage and successfully lead projects within a complex stakeholder environment
* Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines as part of an international team
* High-service orientation, reliability and with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to innovate
* Fluent in German and English
