How You’ll Make an Impact
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Global Product Manager (m/f/d) in the Consumables and Instrument Division with a focus on devices for the medical sector. Our Consumables and Instruments Global Product Management team at Azenta works cross functionally to actively drive the product development, defines go-to market strategies, and supports marketing and sales to enable effective product launches and budget achievement.
This role will be based in our office in Griesheim (near Darmstadt), combined with 20% home office flexibility and business travel.
What You’ll Do
1. Work in interdisciplinary project teams as the voice of customer throughout all project phases from requirements setting to the launch.
2. Manage product launches defined by a stage gate driven Product Development & Introduction process.
3. Assess market requirements and user needs and develop market entry strategies for new products including pricing strategy to ensure delivering on margin and revenue goals.
4. Producing business cases for product opportunities as a basis for investment.
5. Help developing marketing and launch plans in collaboration with product marketing managers including product training for sales and others departments.
6. Work with Marketing to produce marketing and technical literature on time and in budget.
7. Support with strategic input regarding key clinical conditions that Azenta should focus on, based on our core competencies and based on the capabilities of currently available solutions.
8. Product Maintenance: ongoing care and support of product line, including monitoring customer satisfaction, competitor activity, new customer needs and sales support materials, product changes and maintaining a business intelligence database for the product portfolio.
9. Develop and maintain key metrics to measure success in all responsible areas.
10. Actively champion and demonstrate the Azenta Values of Customer Focus, Achievement, Teamwork, Accountability, Employee Value, and Integrity in all activities.
What You Will Bring
11. Scientific degree, or Engineering degree with experience in the clinical IVD sector, PhD and/or MBA is a plus.
12. Significant working experience in laboratory instrumentation industry (clinical; IVD), either from a Product Management/Marketing or R&D perspective.
13. Strong knowledge regarding GMP and MDR regulations.
14. Ability to travel up to 20%.
15. Ability to communicate effectively in a global organization.
16. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
17. Energetic, pragmatic, business driven.
18. Organized and independent.
19. Team player.
20. Fluent written and spoken English, good knowledge of a second language is a plus.
