The Scope We are looking for a Communication Officer who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment. We are seeking a motivated officer to support the communication department effective immediately. You will provide communication and administrative support to the Senior Manager, Internal Communication and Publications and the wider Communication & Media Department. Main Roles & Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Internal Communication and Publications (part of the communication team in the Engagement unit), the manager will: To lead the development and production of the FSC Annual Report, require collaborating with national offices, network partners and units. To oversee the content and production of internal and external newsletters, magazines, scripts, and news items To provide organizational oversight on editorial, proofreading and publishing in accordance with FSC Editorial Style Guide, FSC Brand Book To oversee the production and publishing of content on FSC international website and microsites To support Stories: researching, budgeting, story gathering and content writing on limited projects. To establish a knowledge management system to collate the photography and video files archives (including GDPR consents) To support with Social Media tasks: researching, content creation, campaign planning on limited campaigns. To contribute to the creation, edition, curation, and design of content for the FSC website, news items, publications, brochures, flyers, infographics, campaigns, videos, podcasts, among others), and create social media content where necessary. To oversee the newsfeed and impact stories webpage, ensuring that the submitted content has follow the publication procedure and adheres to the Editorial Style Guide. To assess relevant working processes, procedures, and templates on a continuous basis, and plan and implement suggestions for improved efficiency and effectiveness, based on supervisor input and sign-off. To produce the external communication digital newsletters (content identification, structure, design, launch and reporting). Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs. Your profile Education and Training: Bachelor’s University degree in Print media, Broadcast journalism, public or mass communication, or a similar field. Working Experience and Skills: At least 3 years’ relevant professional experience. Experience in producing and editing editorial content and publications. Experience in digital newsletters and website content development. A strong sense for diligence and accuracy. Proven ability to plan and organize work. Solutions and service-oriented attitude to work. Language and Communication: Fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a big plus. Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Digital Skills: Competence with Microsoft Office suite (advanced PowerPoint skills). Adobe Creative Suite (having experience with this is a plus). Familiarity with social media platforms (X/Twitter and LinkedIn). Why us?
