Are you a driven and organized HR professional with a passion for payroll, administration, and personnel management? At Astara Germany, we are looking for a proactive HR Manager to take charge of a wide range of HR tasks, including payroll processing, personnel administration, and operational support. In this role, you will be at the heart of managing HR functions, supporting daily operations, and collaborating closely with external payroll providers and the internal HR team of the Astara Western Europe hub. In this function you will report to the HR Director of Astara Western Europe, based in Belgium. What You Will Do? HR and Payroll Administration Manage the Human Resources in Germany for around 60 employees Manage payroll processes for Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic with the support of the payroll provider. Calculate provisions (overtime, vacation days, bonuses and maintain personnel files and time-tracking systems. Partner with the regional People team to roll out key people processes and programs locally Work with leaders to build a positive and engaging work culture and act as a true partner for our employees and first-line Managers, providing advice, support and coaching. Support HR budget planning and monitor monthly costs. Handle correspondence with legal advisors and manage HR data protection compliance ensuring compliance with German employment laws and regulations Ensure the development of the employees, implement and follow-up training activities, according to the company’s needs and in close collaboration with the regional Talent Manager. Administers the local and global HR admin systems and is responsible for the HR reporting towards the regional hub. What do we expect from you? You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR or other related field. You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in HR generalist roles. You have a strong affinity for numbers and excellent organizational skills. You are analytical, communicative, and a team player. You thrive under pressure and can effectively set priorities. You work autonomously with a pro-active approach. You are fluent in both written and spoken German and English. You are proficient in MS Office, and experience with WORKDAY is a plus.
