As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sales and profit of our product portfolio. This position covers the Northern Germany region and is therefore a remote position. Remote means that your home address is your primary work location (home office). Meetings may occasionally require your presence at the Medtronic office.
A Day in the Life
• Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region to achieve established sales targets through modern data driven sales-management.
• Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts.
• Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for the assigned region.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.
• Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share.
• Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies.
• Coaches sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
• Takes responsibility for business reviews and forecasting.
Must Haves
• Bachelor's degree required
• At least 5 years of relevant sales experience or university degree with at least 3 years of relevant sales and management experience
• Very good German and very good written and spoken English skills
• Structured working style and experience in project management
• Absolute goal orientation, high level of commitment and solution orientation
• Strong ability to promote, develop and motivate employees
• Ability to work under pressure, flexibility and openness to change
Nice to Haves
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
• Very good MS Office and IT skills
• High willingness to travel
• Used to matrix structures in a corporate group
For remote roles: There is a Measles facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.
