Main Accountabilities: Ensure that the sites indirect materials and services are purchased effectively (including CAPEX) Adopt and implement the preferred supply base and manage the local purchasing needs (requirements, market analysis, supplier selection, tendering, contract and price negotiation, through to post-contract award SRM and performance \ SLA assessment) Identification of process improvement opportunities, and promoting procurement best practice in a complex, multi-site operation across Europe Liaising cross-functionally with a diverse internal community – e.g.: operations, HR, finance, Q&SHE, Delivering best value purchasing: cost savings, quality, flexibility, governance and strategic vendor relationships Manage, lead and drive a team of site buyers covering German's sites indirect needs Be an integral part of the the Procurement team working with stakeholders across the European region to promote the function and develop standard processes and governance Ensuring and promoting a proactive approach to health & safety related issue ( SHE ) Education & Requirements: Degree level, Ideal membership of professional procurement organisation Fluent in English 5-8 years procurement experience ; manufacturing / multi site Strong leadership and leading competencies / Good decision making capabilities Demonstrable mid/long terms experience typically within engineering / MRO, capex, FM and site services spend Projects delivery capabilities and driven by targets approach Highly numerate and structured mindset Excellent communication & negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen SAP 4/Hana - Ariba advantage Why Synthomer?
