Objectives of the PositionAchieve and exceed agreed top line and bottom-line targets for Plastic Additives business key accounts, develop growth strategy at key accounts and develop long term strategic relationship with key accounts and channel partnersDevelop and realize marketing and sales strategy including distributor management and account management.Always follow safety and compliance to all relevant policies.Main TasksCustomer Relationship Management and Account Strategy:Be accountable to negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers and provide operational guidance and support to the relevant functional departments to ensure implementation. Business case, risk management and operations are taken into ownership of the account, including the development and execution of the account strategy, and ensure alignment with key account distributor management and implementation to realize sustainable business growth.Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with respective accounts (all decision-makers) to promote brand value.Utilize product application knowledge as well as through knowledge of entire customer and market value chain to anticipate market trendsTender ManagementSales Performance Tracking:Monitor account performance, track key metrics, and provide regular updates to manager on progress against budget.Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.Provide accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of product and services.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support as a liaison between account and BASF departments to ensure a coordinated approach to client management.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to corporate guidelines and ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the PositionBachelor’s degree in chemicals or related disciplineMinimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably managing both direct account and distributors in Chemical industryProven track record of managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.Good knowledge on Plastics related industry, preferably on plastics additives fieldGood understanding of sales fundamentals, customer needs, and market dynamics.Good command of EnglishWiling to travel within India
