In the “EUDI Wallet Infrastructure” project, which SPRIND is carrying out on behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI), a concept for a German overall system for the implementation of the eIDAS 2.0 regulation including a digital wallet is being developed and tested. Representatives of organized civil society, business associations and administration as well as experts from science are involved in a public consultation process that accompanies the project. As a UX/UI designer you will be an important part in the Wallet Product team realizing this project.

Tasks
* Design and support of the development of the UX/UI of the official EUDI wallet apps (Android and iOS) from the German government supporting high accessibility standards.
* Design and support of the development of a scalable and adaptive design system based on the currently used Material 3 design system using state of the art design principles.
* Writing concise product, process and technical documentation, supporting certification.
* Close collaboration with the development team for implementation of the UX/UI.
* Supporting user testing with usability experts from Fraunhofer AISEC.
* Working with backend/mobile developers and architects in an agile, multidisciplinary team consisting of experts from several government ministries and supporting organizations from Germany and the European Union.
Requirements
How you convince us
* Ability to deliver value in a high-stakes, regulated, politically sensitive environment.
* Excellent spoken and written English communication and collaboration skills, comfortable. transitioning between documentation, design, hands-on design and design review.
* Excellent design skills to develop and maintain a scalable and adaptable design system using state of the art design principles such as atomic design, design tokens etc.
* Experience in designing, testing and implementing UX/UI for mobile apps that complies with high accessibility standards such as BITV 2.0 / EN 301 549.
* 5+ years of design experience working on native mobile apps (Android & iOS), 3+ years of Figma and other relevant tools, with a focus on implementing user friendly and accessible UX/UI for native mobile apps (Android/iOS).
* Comfortable working on open source projects and interacting with the community.
* Proficient in writing and maintaining detailed technical documentation.
Nice to have experience:
* Experience implementing UX/UI design of digital identity products.
* Experience working on official digital products for governments with European context.
* Experience in app development (coding) for Android/iOS.
