Pelicad is an early-stage SaaS startup that enables architects to create 3D renderings in minutes by leveraging BIM, AI, and CAD technologies. We are a small team iterating fast on our product, shipping updates every week. Because we combine AI with 3D, we need radical thinkers who can develop new concepts for an unexplored interface space, bridging the gap to brand-new tech. Our users struggle to apply the new concepts so the interface needs to teach them in a familiar easy to use way. Our customers - architects - are designers themselves, which raises the bar for what we need to deliver.
Your Role
As our UI Designer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the entire design foundation at Pelicad. We are looking for someone who thrives on building a cohesive design ecosystem and iterating quickly to deliver value. You will work closely with our founders and development team, defining everything from user interface standards to marketing collateral, so your impact will span product, brand, and user experience.
We already have a complete design system in Figma as well as most of the CI documentation. You will extend and update these iteratively. Our current website is built in Webflow. While Figma is set, we are open to other software stacks for all your other tasks. A wiki will boost your onboarding.
Tasks
* Manage a coherent design across all outward-facing communication, developing and maintaining our design system
* Design and implement our website (for example, using Webflow) and support the development team with UI design based on existing UX drafts
* Coordinate with devs to translate designs into production quickly and review their implementation
* Responsible for integrating real customer feedback in weekly development iterations
* In a nutshell, you’ll act as a Design System Engineer, UI Designer, Webflow Developer.
Requirements
* You speak English with full professional proficiency
* You have created and worked with design systems before
* You are proficient with Figma and software like Webflow
* You have conceptualized websites and interfaces and can manage such projects end-to-end
* You are willing to receive and give feedback
* You are interested in architecture and have a creative flair appropriate for design-savvy users
* You focus on MVPs rather than perfectionism
* You can tolerate uncertainty and embrace the unknown
You will work on a broad range of tasks independently, with no ‘enterprise-grade’ guidance. We need someone who can both execute and also structure, prioritize, and stabilize their own workload, which means this is not an entry-level role.
Benefits
* We support external mentoring with budget and personal connections to give you the best personalized learning environment
* Shape the brand identity and influence a design-savvy audience of architects and designers
* Weekly releases mean your ideas go live quickly—no endless revision cycles
* Customer focus at every level, your work is delivered directly to customers
* Hybrid setting with coworking space in Berlin or Munich, plus asynchronous collaboration for maximum autonomy
* Active participation in strategy and goal-setting through agile methods such as OKR and Shape-Up
* Structured onboarding that gives you a head start
* Team culture with regular team trips and events
Optional experience:
* Branding
* Motion pictures and photography
* Content writing and messaging
* Marketing automation and SEO
* Social media content
If you are excited to build a design ecosystem and shape how AI, 3D, and cutting-edge architecture software converge, we would love to hear from you. Please include your portfolio (links or attachments) when applying.
