About you and this Role We are looking for you, an ambitiousmaster's student (d/f/m),to support our Dow Construction Chemicals business unit by conducting an internship project inBiobasedDispersantsfor our location inBomlitz, Germany. The department that will welcome you is the global competence center at Dow Construction Chemicals for additives and binders used as performance ingredients in cement based and gypsum products. The group develops new cellulose ethers, and biobased dispersants for the construction industry. They also carry out practical application-oriented research projects involving Dow Construction Chemicals' global customer base. Project description Dow Construction Chemicals is developing new biobased dispersants for construction applications. We are offering intern position to further develop the biobased dispersant for the selected applications by developing novel formulations and analysing the effect of modifications to resulting formulation characteristics, for example cement hydration, rheology or crystalline structure. In their DCC project an intern develops laboratory scale test methods for cement and gypsum-based building materials. Design of experiment (DOE) on new biobased dispersants together with additional performance additives will be planed/designed in close cooperation with their supervisor. The intern have also ample opportunity to improve their working experience through planning own experiments based on initial outcomes of DOE lab experiments. Qualifications - You are currently studying for a masters degree or equivalent in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related Material Science subjects - You have a good working knowledge of English; German knowledge is a benefit - Laboratory skills are a must; ideally obtained from university as well as laboratory assignments in industry or institutional research organizations Additional Note - You can start betweenJanuary and April 2025 for a period of 4-6 months(exact timing is flexible and to be discussed).
