The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany. What you will be doing As Manager Global Warehousing and Inventory your work will focus on these responsibilities: Develop and implement global warehousing strategies to optimize storage and distribution processes and reduce costs. Implement strategies for optimum inventory levels, control and availability of materials.Ensure the safety and security of warehouse facilities and staff. Manage and oversee the performance of warehouse facilities and staff across multiple locations and ensure compliance with international warehousing regulations and standards.Long-term volume planning with tendering and negotiation of warehouse services and storage locations. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless warehousing operations.Develop, implement, and monitor optimization strategies for operational processes. Create business cases for cost-efficient implementation and define and manage KPIs to steer and improve global warehousing and parts availability.Negotiate contracts and rates with service providers to achieve cost savings.Develop and manage the warehousing budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve processes.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and customers.To be successful in this role we expect you to have: Approx. 5 years of experience in warehousing and warehouse setupMin. 1 year of experience and skills in leading international teamsContinuous improvement skillsReadiness to travel internationally Good negotiation and presentation skillsCost awareness and effectivenessExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English and GermanIn this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world.
