Your Experience
* Education:Degree in Tax Law, Business Administration with a focus on taxation, or a related field; additional qualifications as a Certified Tax Advisor are advantageous.
* Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in taxation, ideally in an international context or in a comparable role within a corporate environment.
* Tax Compliance:Strong knowledge of tax compliance, particularly in corporate tax, VAT, payroll tax, and indirect taxes across international markets (e.g., Germany, USA, UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy).
* Tax Strategy and Advisory:Experience in analyzing and implementing tax-related solutions, particularly in international tax laws and transfer pricing.
* Tax CMS: Experience supporting the development or enhancement of a Tax Compliance Management System (Tax CMS).
* Collaboration with External Advisors:Proven experience in managing and coordinating external tax advisors, particularly in preparing tax returns and handling tax audits.
* Project Management: Experience contributing to the tax aspects of projects, such as M&A transactions, company formations, or restructuring.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems and tax software, ideally with experience in digitizing and automating tax processes.
* Language Skills: Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are advantageous for succeeding in an international environment.

Your Mission
As a (Senior) Manager Tax, you will be part of the Finance team and take responsibility for ensuring and further developing tax compliance and tax strategy in a dynamic, international environment. You will work closely with the Team Lead / Head of Tax and other departments to build an efficient and scalable tax function that meets the demands of our international SaaS scale-up.
With your expertise, you will help minimize tax risks, ensure compliance, and contribute to the development of a tax department that is optimally positioned for scalable international growth and capital market readiness.

Your Responsibilities
* Tax Compliance:Prepare and review VAT returns and declarations for both domestic and international jurisdictions. Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations in various jurisdictions (e.g., Germany, USA, UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Italy), including corporate tax, VAT, payroll tax, and indirect taxes.
* Tax Advisory: Provide advice to internal teams on all tax-related matters, particularly on international income tax and transfer pricing issues.
* Transfer Pricing:Support the creation, maintenance, and development of transfer pricing documentation and ensure the quality of all tax-related documents.
* Tax Audits and Coordination:Manage and supply information for tax matters while coordinating external advisors in domestic and international jurisdictions. Assist with tax audits and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
* Communication with Tax Authorities: Handle communication with tax authorities in domestic and international jurisdictions, particularly regarding inquiries and audits.
* Tax Compliance Management System (Tax CMS):Contribute to the development and enhancement of a Tax CMS to minimize tax risks and ensure compliance with global requirements.
* Internationalization: Support tax optimization and the adaptation of tax processes for international markets.
* Projects: Collaborate on tax-related aspects of M&A transactions, due diligence, company formations, and restructuring projects.
